SAFETY RECALL NOTICE: HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers

Product safety is our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution and in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kobayashi Consumer Products, LLC (“Kobayashi”) is recalling HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers (Model: H163650).

If you have purchased this product, please stop using it immediately and follow the instructions below to receive a refund. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Reason for Recall
A recall was recently announced for OCOOPA brand rechargeable hand warmers due to the risk of the lithium-ion battery overheating and igniting, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards (Recall 26-659). Although there have been no reported incidents or injuries associated with this battery issue in our product, HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers share the identical lithium-ion battery and electrical components.

This recall applies ONLY to the specific model listed below.
Product Name: HotHands® Rechargeable Hand Warmers
Model Number: H163650 (Printed on the underside of the product)
Sales Period: July 2025 through August 2026
Sold At: Bass Pro Shops, Meijer, Target and The Home Depot and other stores nationwide (both in stores and through their respective ecommerce platforms), and online at Amazon.com.

IMPORTANT: This recall does not involve any HotHands Air-activated hand warmers.

If you have this product
• STOP USING THE PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY
• Eligible consumers will receive a refund.
• Please do NOT dispose of the product until your recall claim has been completed.

How to Claim Your Refund
To receive your refund, please register your product by clicking the "Submit Recall Claim" button below. During the claim process, you will be asked to:
1. Receive a unique claim number and instructions.
2. Write “Recalled” and the unique claim number in permanent marker on the product.
3. Submit photos showing the marked product, the product’s model number, and four-digit batch number, along with a photo of your receipt (if available).

How to Dispose of Your Product
After completing your claim, consumers should dispose of the marked product with the lithium-ion battery, in accordance with applicable local and state hazardous waste regulations.
IMPORTANT: Do not throw this recalled lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire.
Disposal Instructions:
• Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact it ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries.
• If they do not, contact your municipality for further guidance
• Do not place this product in regular trash or recycling containers
